Sun, Fun, and Random Updates

I can't believe it's almost the Fourth of July and I don't even know where the time has gone!

I'm still trying to get over the fact that the Spanking from A-Z Blogging Challenge is over. I have been catching myself in the shower (my best place to plan blog posts) pondering a blog topic and deciding what letter of the alphabet to use it for.

I feel a little aimless now. I will have to get back to regular blogging.

This is just an update on what I am doing.

Loving Lena has just been put up for sale on Blushing Books and Smashwords.

I am working along on my next book- a contemporary domestic discipline novella that has yet to be titled. Right now it is saved on my computer with the file name "Caitlin and Simon" as my characters are named Caitlin and Simon, I am super inventive.

In the meantime I have read some wonderful books lately and I am the complete worst because I have not written reviews for any of them. They are coming though and I think I shall do a recap post of all the ones I loved!

Oh! Big news, it was hot as hell here today and I was going to baby sit for people who own a pool. I dug a bathing suit out of my dresser that had not fit me in years. I tried it on and it fit! As I was showing Mr. McKay he asked me when I bought it. So I do some quick math in my head and turns out I bought it nine years ago. That's pretty awesome, right?

Do you know what isn't awesome? Elastic, after nine years, turns out it just disintegrates.

And that is how I spent 40 minutes swimming with an eight year old while holding an arm across my chest so I did not accidentally slip a nip.

Looks like someone is going bathing suit shopping...

  1. I love the big news best... :) Good idea to do these updates - I may borrow the idea in fact, if you don't mind. Also, I hate bathing suit shopping so good luck with that and just remember, everything looks better when you're tanned.

    1. I just bought one online! I hope it fits. I hate paying shipping, but it was worth the $7 to no have to go to the store.

  2. Elastic disintegrates - a useful excuse to give my husband when I go shopping for a new swimsuit. I have way too many as it is :)
I suffered blogging withdrawal symptoms finishing the challenge. I've this expectation now I should be posting more frequently.

    1. Buy some cute panties while you're shopping and your husband won't complain! At least that works on my husband :)
Yes, blogging withdrawal, now I feel like I need a new challenge! That's why I wrote this aimless post last night.

  4. I hate that about elastic, but it's nice you could fit into it after nine years. Happy shopping.

  5. I can't buy them online anymore. Some of us are short and curvy with big boobs. We usually go to Kohls to the ladies section now, and have to spend way too much money to get something that fits.

    1. I am just crossing my fingers it fits, and if it doesn't maybe I will just wear clothes over it. I hate bathing suit shopping!

  6. I feel really bereft without the A-Z spanking challenge, too! Damn thing was clearly addictive.

And yay for getting a new swimming costume! I hope you got one like in the picture. I always assume you look like your cover girls.

    1. Yes, it was an addictive challenge.

I am laughing that you just called it a swimming costume, how cute is that? I got one that does almost look like the one in the picture. There actually is one on modcloth.com that looks just like this picture but it's like $80. Who buys bathing suits for that much money??

  7. And, hey, I can still fit into stuff I bought nine years ago! Because I was fat then too. :)
