A Tasty Spanking Romance~ Short, Cheap Read!

Big News!! Friday, January 30th A Taste of Discipline is being discussed over at Celeste Jones' Spanking Stories Book Club!!

Have any of you ever gone to a real life book club and could just not finish the book in time? You don't have to worry about that with this one, it's short! It might take up 30 minutes of your life. It's also cheap! Short and cheap, not exactly words an author should use when talking up her work, but I am being honest here. It's just supposed to be a 'taste' (get it?), I also think I packed a lot of emotion into one little book.

Some reviewers seemed to think my heroine was a be-otch, but that wasn't my intention in writing her. It's just a glimpse into her life and she feels stressed out and worn thin- so if you have never been there then maybe you wouldn't understand. There is a lot of myself in Sam, my loving husband gets the brunt of it when I am fraying at the seams, but that's the trade off- he gets my best so he also gets my worst.

In the story Ryan has just pulled her into his office mid-meltdown, he's trying to level her out before sending her back into the busy kitchen.

"Just let me handle it. I have it under control." She was aiming for a more contrite tone, but judging by his reaction, she was still snapping. A live wire ready to burst into flames.

"Bend over the desk."

She shook her head as he began to circle back around toward her.

He came up behind her, his hands on her shoulders, gentle pressure pushing her forward.

She could have easily side stepped him, spun back, and told him to get the fuck away. She could have left the office, slamming the door behind her, letting him know in no uncertain terms just what she thought of his power play.

But she didn't want to. He was taking control and making her relinquish it. She started to be able to breathe again. As he pushed her down to stretch her torso across the desk the air pushed from her lungs.

He stood behind her, his muscular thighs pressing her legs into the desk. He had her trapped with his body and she could slowly feel a weight being lifted off her chest.

"What do you think you're accomplishing?"

She shook her head, a tiny shake from side to side as she rested her cheek on the papers Ryan had scattered across the desk.

His hands slipped around her waist, untying the drawstring at the front of her pants, and she screwed her eyes shut. He tugged her pants and panties down in one fluid motion and she felt a moment of panic that he would spank her. She hoped he wouldn't, because what could be worse than having her staff hear her not only being scolded, but then spanked? They would never listen to her again.

He ran his hands over her naked ass, and even though her shirt stuck to her with sweat, she shivered under his touch. He stepped back, stroking down her thighs, then up, skimming across her globes again, then pressing his thumbs into the knot that was forming in her lower back. She sighed and sunk down further, causing her ass to stick out more.

He massaged up her back, working her spine, rubbing the tension out of her shoulders. Until he finally folded over on top of her. She could feel his erection pressing against her ass through his jeans. He brought his head down beside her, talking into her ear. "You need to get it together out there."

She nodded, but her eyes remained closed.

"Should I spank you now? Right here for everyone to hear?" He slid his hands down her back, giving her buttocks a firm squeeze.

She mewled out a tiny protest beneath him. The danger of taking a spanking with just a thin door between her and her staff titillating. Maybe it was the trust that he wouldn't do it, or the risk that maybe this time she had pushed him too far. She wasn't sure why, but the thought of it was making her wet.

Sam is a classically trained chef. She runs her kitchen like a well-oiled machine, and steam rolls anyone who gets in the way of that. She likes to be in control and has a hard time adjusting when she can't be.

Ryan is her husband and partner. As the manager of the restaurant they own, he tries to ensure that his wife is not over working herself and not blowing up at their employees.

They're trying to find a balance in life, love, and cooking. It just might take a little discipline.

This book includes themes of domestic discipline, spankings, graphic sex, anal play, and more. If any of this subject matter offends you, please do not purchase this book.

A Valentine's Day Post!

first and foremost- I am hosting Spanking Stories Book Club over at Celeste Jones' blog. I am talking about Natasha Knight's Aching to Submit. So pop on over and join the fun!

It is Valentine's Day! I've always loved this day. I know it gets a lot of flack. Especially from people who may be single, or people who put a lot of importance on the silly things, and it gets called a Hallmark holiday, blah blah blah.

I'm sorry, you should check who's blog you're on- hopeless romantic over here :)

Most of the Valentine's Day I have had I was single and I loved them all the same. I was the dork in school who sent all her best girlfriend's lollipops with messages that the band was selling. Or planned a girl's night where we watched romantic comedies and painted our nails. Or stayed up late to watch Fatal Attraction with my mom (don't ask, it was on TV and it scared the shit out of me).

Anyway, the point is- I just enjoy a day that is all about love. Be it love between friends or lovers or family. It's nice to just tell people you love them and spend some time with them. And that is why I love today!

This year is the first year Mr. McKay and I actually have some pocket money we could use to buy each other gifts. I thought about getting him something special. I wanted to show him how much I appreciate him- and really, who doesn't love getting gifts??

I lost some weight and my wedding and engagement rings no longer fit me. I could have had them resized, that would have been some sort of loving gesture, right? Or I could have bought something just for him, something he really wanted. Or something sexy, that I could wear for him maybe?

Well, about a week ago I had to buy new pads for Roller Derby. New pads and a mouth guard got pretty pricey. Suddenly, all the extra pocket money we had was gone. I informed him of this before I hit the complete button on my online order. He just shrugged it off and told me to order them.

"But, I should get you something for Valentine's Day instead," I said.

"Why?"

"I don't know. These are expensive and we should just spend the money on us instead."

"Order them. I'd like you to stay unbroken." Then he leaned over and kissed me, "Happy Valentine's Day, Roller Girl."

To say I swooned would be putting it mildly, but it's stuff like that that gets me, you know?

We are spending the night in. Inexpensive, but fun. And who knows, maybe I'll let him bang me with my skates on :)

Happy Valentine's Day to all my Readers- I love you all :)

Spanks for the Laughs

I am over at Celeste Jones' today for Spanking Stories Book Club talking about my book Cursed Waters.

Celeste mentioned a scene where my heroine, Roxy, loses it during a spanking. Her boyfriend wrongly assumes she's crying, but when he discovers she's laughing he realizes he needs to up his game.

He dealt out a dozen more spanks and he saw her shoulders shake as she began to cry. He paused for a moment, resting his hand on her lower back. Trevor was trying to determine whether he should continue a bit longer, or stop now that she was crying. He reached down to brush her long hair away from her face. As he did she turned towards him and he realized she wasn't crying at all, she was caught in a fit of laughter. He wasn't expecting that.
“What are you laughing at?” Trevor asked as he struggled to keep his own laughter from bubbling to the surface.
Roxy just shook her head in reply, keeping her mouth firmly clamped shut. Now he was at a loss, where did he go from here? He hadn't actually been punishing her, he just wanted to change her mindset and take a little stress away before they left to meet up with Mrs. Grindle. Were there people who actually knew what they were doing all the time while being in a dominant role? He was definitely making it up as he went along.
“Stand up,” he ordered. He took his hands away from her, offering no help as she struggled to her feet. When she looked back at him questioningly he hoped he exuded some sort of confidence back at her.
“Go into the bedroom and wait for me,” Trevor issued his next order.
“Why?” Roxy looked nervous, and she crossed her arms across her chest as she stared him down. He noticed she wasn't laughing anymore, well at least he had achieved that.

“You'll find out soon enough,” he replied. He raised his eyebrows at her, hopefully conveying the sentiment that he was serious.

Have you ever burst into a fit of laughter at an inopportune moment? Come on over to Celeste's, she poses this question as well as some others that will get you thinking.

Blurb:
Roxy Wilson is going through the motions. She's running her deceased grandmother's psychic readings shop, but she's not a psychic. Hoping to expand and just become a gift shop, she contacts her ex-boyfriend, Trevor Dale. Only she doesn't anticipate the feelings she's still having for him after four years of separation.
Trevor could never get Roxy out of his system, and now with her so close to him again, he's reluctant to let her go. But a 40 year- old curse involving evil spells and zombies overtaking the small, seaside town of Ocean Pointe may put a stop to any sort of romantic reunion.
Can Roxy and Trevor break the curse and save their town from zombies? Find out in Cursed Waters!

Let's Talk Smut!

I don't know if you are aware of this but Celeste Jones hosts a Spanking Stories Book Club over on her blog. When I first discovered this I was over the moon excited. Finally! A place where I could discuss books I was actually reading!

I read. And when I say that I mean it. I read A LOT. I take book recommendations from girls at work, my mother in law, and friends. I would read whatever they were reading, even if I didn't know if I would like it, just so I could discuss it. Then I would read my smut novels in secret. More often than not they were spanking romances. I would try to limit myself. One a week- or two, depending on the week. I would try to keep up with 'regular' books, but read my guilty pleasures in private, with no one to discuss them with. (Okay- full disclosure, I am sure my husband got an earful at one point or another about a spanking book I either found completely off base, completely implausible, or just plain crappy. But he never really cared, I was more or less just talking to myself.)

Then I started writing my own spanking romances. And in the spirit of true sisterhood, I started buying all my fellow author's books (I know, it is a huge cross to bear). I am writing spanking romance, reading spanking romance, talking spanking romance with other authors.

What do I tell the people in my real life that I'm reading? "Oh, it's this silly romance I downloaded for free." No one ever wants the details. If they press I can just start telling them the plot without the spankings.

One day I hope to not be so hidden, but for now, I am sitting in the closet reading (and writing) away. And Celeste has a place to discuss!! My nerdiness takes full reign on book club day!

Imagine my elation when she chose my book for this coming Friday, November 22nd. I feel like I am an Oprah book club selection- only, even better, I am a Celeste Jones Book Club selection (which is better, because Celeste is funnier and sassier than Oprah).

So come join us this Friday. We're talking about Cursed Waters. I'll be there, will you?
