A Misguided Man~ Emmaline's Gamble #satspanks

Hey there Saturday Spankos, it's that time again! I have a little tid bit from Emmaline's Gamble which is on sale now!

Emmaline has messed up and she's convinced herself that Leo deserves someone better.

"Take off your clothes." Another dictate uttered with the certainty of immediate obedience. Her hands started working on the buttons of her dress before she had time to second guess his order.
"All of them?" She heard her own voice come out in a timid whisper.

He gave her an affirmative nod, his eyes fixed on her body as she stripped the clothes away. She dropped her gaze, training her eyes on the rug in front of the bed. She did not want to watch him looking back at her with such love in his eyes. He was clearly a misguided man and another woman would make him much happier.

Emmaline grew up living a privileged life, she never had to give the presence of money a second thought, so settling into life with her hard working husband, Leo, is proving to be a bit of an adjustment. She tries to be the type of woman Leo can be proud of, but she fears her upbringing in England's upper crust has left her severely unprepared in being a proper wife.

When Leo brought his young wife to America, far away from their life in England, he promised to take care of her and provide for her. But when Emmaline gambles away hard earned money and her impulsiveness puts her in further danger, what is a husband to do with his wayward wife?

This book features characters from Emmaline's Groom, including a spoiled rich girl, her stern husband, spankings, graphic sex, anal play, and more. If any of this subject matter offends you, please do not purchase this book.

"I'm Not Arguing"~ The Quickest Way to End a Fight

I don't know about your house, but the holiday preparations have really ramped up around here. And with that I start to go a little crazy. Minor details can throw me over the edge and then next thing you know I am yelling at the cat for knocking the boxes of Christmas lights onto the floor.

Mr. McKay is a good guy. He is really not into Christmas or decorations, but when he saw me losing my shit he asked if he could help. I declined. He asked if I wanted him to make me something to eat (when all else fails feed the beast). I declined. When a few other suggestions were also shot down he did what any smart man would do, he backed away slowly without making sudden movements.

Sometimes, I wish spankings could play into a real life thing for us. I said sometimes. I was thinking about this last night. Would I have responded well if he had decided that the quickest way to get me to calm down would have been to spank me? Maybe not at first- especially if it wasn't my idea.

So maybe if we had discussed it beforehand?

I think I am a little nervous to bring it up- I mean I brought up the whole spanking thing- and he did it. I suggested we try out other implements and he did it. I told him maybe he wasn't spanking hard enough and he could go a little longer... and he listened!

There's no going back on that now, so I think I really need to pick and choose what I ask for. Would I be insane to ask him to spank me when I am getting too stressed out??

These are the things I am wondering on.

Anyway, maybe slightly adding to my crazy week- I had two releases this week, that's right, two!!

I have a similar scene to the one I described above from my book The Doctor's Wife which is now available as a standalone on Amazon. If you bought the box set What the Doctor Ordered, then you already own this book! So what are you waiting for? Go read it!

So here it is. Christina is stressed out and pissed off and now her date night with Dan is quickly devolving into an argument.

"Whatever, Dan." She stomped out the room, collecting the pot from the coffee table. She stomped past him banging it down into the sink. She started furiously scrubbing dishes and slamming them into the dish drainer.

Dan reached around her, turning the tap off. "Stop."

She elbowed him, attempting to push him back a step, but he remained pressed up against her. "You stop," she said back, sounding like a petulant child even to her own ears.

She reached to turn the water back on but he grabbed her hand. Pulling her back from the sink and spinning her away, he gave her a hard smack on her ass and pushed her toward the door. "Go get ready for bed," he ordered. "I'm not arguing with you tonight."

She turned to face him, ready to put up a fight. He met her gaze, hands on his hips, annoyance in his eyes. Hurt and anger banged around in her chest, this is not how she wanted to spend her night.

He held her gaze for a moment and seemed to be thinking something over. It looked like something changed in his eyes, some undefined emotion flitted across his face and when he focused on her again he looked different- more determined. "I want you to go into the den, take off your clothes, and wait for me." He pointed toward the den, as if she were confused where he meant.

She shook her head no, and he raised his brows in warning.

"That wasn't a question," he said.

She blinked back at him, unable to catch up with the shift in his mood. He'd gone all dominant on her and suddenly the snit she had herself in disappeared. She could go upstairs and go to bed, or sulk in the living room in front of the television. But a flare of excitement shot through her at his instructions. Their night had been deteriorating before it even started, but Dan just took control of it and now all she had to do was obey. She turned and walked to the den, leaving him in the kitchen. She flicked on the light as the house was shrouded in darkness since the sun went down.

Standing in the middle of the room, she was unable to heed the rest of his instructions. The air felt cool and she suddenly felt very small in the overly masculine room.

Christina knew when she married Dr. Dan Connolly that it would be the best decision of her life, but as the years have passed and work and everyday concerns have piled up, their passion has begun to cool. Dan is supportive and understanding, but when Christina becomes so busy and stressed that she stops eating properly, he realizes he must step in to ensure that his wife starts taking care of herself again.

Dan makes it clear that things need to change, and Christina soon learns that defying the man who is both her doctor and her head of household will earn her a trip over his knee for a bare-bottom spanking. When Christina makes matters worse by lying to him, Dan decides to give her the type of thorough, embarrassing medical attention which will teach her a lesson she won’t soon forget. But will Christina continue to resist her husband’s dominance, or will she learn to embrace the submission she can’t help craving?

Publisher’s Note: The Doctor’s Wife is an erotic novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes, medical play, anal play, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Her Dom's Softer Side

I have Megan Michaels here today with an excerpt from her new book Finding Submission! I'm so excited she came over to hang out! Have you read anything by her yet? If not you need to fix that- she writes some smoking hot stuff so be forewarned...

Hey Casey and fellow spanking fans! Thank you for hosting Finding Submission on your blog today. I hope you enjoy the sexy excerpt I have for you all today.
Blurb:
Preston Harrison is the picture of the gentleman Southern lawyer, as handsome and affable, as he was strict and precise. His ordered professional life suited him and his temperament, not a thing out of place, not an event unplanned. But he was more than a lawyer though -- he was also a Dom, and he made sure his personal life and professional life never intersected. Never that is until his world is turned upside down by one Avery Beauchamp, a stubborn, adorable, and way too sassy pocket Venus.

Being the only daughter of a respected Judge should’ve set Avery up for a life of ease, of privilege. But Avery had a habit of not doing anything she should -- she only did the things she wanted. Marching to the beat of her own (very smart-mouthed) drummer had always served the headstrong girl well… until the day she ran afoul of a little thing called the law.

A strict southern lawyer and a color-outside-the-lines misdemeanor offender should have been like oil and water. But when a Judge’s daughter finds herself on the wrong side of the law, she’s presented with a choice: a fine and possible jail time, or an alternative sentence. Preston -- against his better judgment -- finds himself agreeing to the rather unique sentence for the wayward girl: house arrest for Avery.

There was one problem for Avery though: the house where she would serve her sentence wasn’t hers -- it was Preston’s. Worse, as she learns what working for the strict Preston Harrison really means -- and how deep her own repressed desires might go -- she fears that she might lose more than her freedom to the devastatingly handsome Dom. She might lose her heart too.

Note: This BDSM erotic romance includes the following acts or themes: bare bottom spanking and other corporal punishment, D/s, explicit sexuality, anal play, and BDSM activity including kitty/pet play. If these acts or themes might be offensive to you, please do not buy this book.

EXCERPT
In the following excerpt, Preston is cuddling with Avery after a punishment and they are discussing aftercare.

Avery did as she was told, and felt his body cuddle up to hers. He wrapped his leg over hers, and then tucked her into his chest. His arm settled over her body, his big hand cupping the weight of her breast, quietly and insistently kneading and squeezing. It was comforting. It was safe and secure.
“Why do you have a bed in here?” She looked back over her shoulder at him.
“Well, to do aftercare. It’s softer than sitting on the floor, and more comfortable than trying to curl up in a chair. I want to hold you and make sure you’re okay. I want you to feel cared for, and taken care of.” Preston turned her so she was facing him, pushing her hair over her shoulder. “Even though you were the cause of the punishment, and I’m the person who meted it out, I also want to be the person who gives you the love and attention you deserve. “
Avery didn’t know what to do with that. No one had ever cared how she felt after a scolding or grounding. Hell, most of the time, no one cared how she felt period. Sometimes the nannies did, but the people in her life had typically been too consumed with their lives to care about her. She stared at him, thinking.
“Such a serious girl. What’re you thinking about, Avery?”
“I… don’t know. I’m not used to this. People I know don’t treat me like this.” She averted her eyes, the admission making it suddenly too much to maintain eye contact.
“Explain that, sweetheart. What do you mean people don’t treat you like this?” Preston stroked her hair and brushed a light kiss to her forehead.
“Well, I haven’t been spanked in years, and as I got older I was grounded -- or just ignored. They would let me know they were angry and then they would leave me alone to stew and simmer in my room. But I never felt forgiven.” She pulled at a piece of loose thread in the bedspread. “I would feel bad, and when no one would talk to me I would feel even worse -- and because I felt bad I would just misbehave all over again.”
“I’m sorry, Miss Avery. If you’re punished in this house, you’ll always receive aftercare. It’s one of the benefits of being punished in my book. I’ll always care for your feelings, and what you have to say about anything. It may not stop a punishment, but it’ll let you feel heard. You’ll always know you’re restored to a clean slate, and that I haven’t lost my care and concern for you.”

I hope you all enjoyed it. Follow the links below to get your copy, so you can read more about Preston and Avery.

New Release! Emmaline's Gamble Available Now!

Big News! My newest story from The Ravenswood Manor series is now available. Emmaline's Gamble is up on Amazon and available to read for free through Kindle Unlimited.

If you haven't met Emmaline and Leo yet, now's your chance. Emmaline's getting herself into trouble again:

He reentered the room and led her next to the arm chair with a firm grip on her forearm. Pushing her over the side he pushed her upper body onto the seat, her feet still planted on the floor, her backside raised in the air. "Raise your skirts," he demanded, tapping the back of her thigh. She craned her neck, looking at him over her shoulder that was when she spied the wooden spoon he was holding.

He met her gaze and glowered at her, "Now!" he barked.

She hastily pulled up her skirts, not wanting to anger him further, but her knees shook at the thought of him punishing her in his emotional state. He yanked her pantelets down without undoing the ties at the front, she heard a rip, but screwed her eyes shut as she anticipated the onslaught of her impending punishment.

Organized Kink

This past week my husband and I took on the enormous effort of organizing our bedroom. Why is this an enormous effort you may ask? Well, we aren't the neatest of people and our townhouse is two stories, no one ever comes upstairs so it becomes very easy to let the junk pile up when no guests will ever see it.

I guess if we started having guests in the bedroom we would get a little better at folding and putting away our clothes. But our kinkdom doesn't involve having other people present- so the bedroom stays a mess.

Until this past week!

Reasons for having a neat and organized bedroom:

1. Not killing yourself when you get out of bed in the morning and need to get to the alarm clock across the room.

2. Not falling backwards over laundry baskets and smacking your head into the corner of the dresser.

3. Being able to find a matching pair of socks in record time, thus arriving to work as scheduled.

4. Being able to have sexual relations in the bedroom without 'maneuvering the clothes piles around so we can walk'.

Yes, all of these reasons are very good reasons for being a real adult and keeping your room clean- but I'm pretty sure our reasons were all resting on #4.

Also, since no one ever sees our bedroom, and we don't have kids, we have no motivation to put toys back in their proper place when done using them, so trying to be spontaneously kinky is hard when you're not sure where the damn vibrator went and the bottle of lube may have rolled under the bed.

This past week was operation clean out the dressers, get the clothes away, and give the sex toys places to live!

It was mostly a success, until while carrying bins full of clothes into the basement our stairs decided to detach from the wall and almost crash to the floor below.

Mr. McKay declared, "This is what we get for trying to be responsible adults!"

It was frightening and if alone I would have been trapped down in the basement until someone came to find me. Luckily, no one got hurt and we have successfully kept the bedroom clean and organized for a full three days now!!

All of the toys are cleaned and safely stashed away, the spanking implements are still out in the open, but they are all in the same general area and are not buried under dirty laundry.

When I am rich and famous one day (or just rich) I am going to hire someone awesome to build me a kinky organizer. You know those awesome kitchens that have the pull out spice racks and cool hidden drawers for everything? I want that, but for butt plugs and nipple clamps.

Hey, a girl can dream.

Until then I have resolved to keep the bedroom floor clear of clutter and our kinky things at least semi-organized.

Gambling Will Get You Spanked!

Today's Saturday, huh? I think I have all but given up on signing up for weekly blog hops on time.

My friends all have some hot snippets to share over at Saturday Spankings

I actually have a book coming out this week. Oh you didn't know?

Probably because I have not done one iota of promotion for it. I thought you might like a little taste. Also, have a look at my fancy new cover!

Emmaline's back and she's still making trouble! She's found a man running a cup game at the fair and despite her friend's warning gambles her money convinced that she will walk away a rich woman.

Grace appeared at her side, tugging at the sleeve of her dress and gesturing behind her. Emmaline shook her off, trying to concentrate on the man and where he put the marble. She watched as he again placed it under the right cup. Then Grace was tugging at her dress again. Emmaline swatted her away with one hand as she kept her eyes trained on the man. He seemed to give the cups an extra shuffle before they came to rest, but she knew for certain that the marble was in the left cup.
"Emmaline!" Leo's sharp voice drew her attention from behind her.
Reluctantly, she turned to see her husband glaring at her. She gave him a little wave before she said, "Just a moment darling, I am almost done."
The crowd gave a chuckle and Leo's face darkened at her brush off. She turned back to the man at the game and pointed to the cup on the left. The crowd gave shouts of agreement and she knew she had chosen the correct one. Only when he lifted the cup there was no marble.
"What?" Emmaline shouted, her heart thumped in her chest as the man scooped up her pile of coins. The crowd jeered at her loss. A couple of men yelled that the man was cheating.
Leo was at her side, pulling her away from the game, "What is the meaning of this?" he hissed in her ear.
"Leo, I was winning. It should have been under that cup!" she exclaimed.
"Better luck next time, darlin'." The smarmy Confidence Man leered in her direction. Emmaline felt tears burn in the back of her eyes as the crowd dispersed, a few sending comforting words her way as Leo's hand tightened around her forearm. She had lost her entire weekly allowance. Her heart thrummed in her chest as she thought of the best way to admit this to Leo.
Grace gave her a quick hug, urging her to come by the house tomorrow, before she retreated to James and they hastily made their way away from the crowd and the angry Leo.
"I believe he cheated," Emmaline protested, searching Leo's face for any sign of agreement.
He did not respond. He pulled her arm dragging her behind him as he made his way toward the exit of the fair and pointed them toward home.
“Wait!” she cried, pulling against his hold and grinding them both to a halt. “Give me a coin, I can win it back,” she appealed to him, holding her hand out so he could place the coin she asked for in her palm.
Leo narrowed his eyes at her and tugged her forward, landing a hard swat on her backside. His hand stung even through the layers of clothing and her overcoat. She did not argue further as he led her off the fairgrounds. She dipped her head down, not daring to look up to see if people around them were watching. Her face burned in embarrassment and ire bubbled within her chest that he would chastise her in such a way in public.

Emmaline's Gamble:

Emmaline grew up living a privileged life, she never had to give the presence of money a second thought, so settling into life with her hard working husband, Leo, is proving to be a bit of an adjustment. A New Month Begins~ Have I Gotten Any Wiser?

At the beginning of last month I did a little "Things I've Learned" wrap up of the month before. I decided to do it again, because after all 30 days have gone by and I do hope I have learned something.

I don't know if I was just not paying attention or if November was a boring month, but I had a hard time coming up with 5 things I learned...

Here goes, as boring as they may be:

1. I do not like pumpkin flavored anything. Apparently the new trend is to flavor everything with pumpkin spice- from coffee to beer (two of my favorite beverages) and I find it all positively disgusting. Please, for the love of humankind, stop doing this Beverage Makers!

2. A ganache is a fancy word for melted chocolate chips. I made a cake this month and did not have all the ingredients to make icing. Upon a quick google search I found a simple recipe to make a chocolate ganache. Who knew it was just chocolate chips and cream? I didn't.

(2a. A side note to the above fact- making a premixed, from the box, cake and covering it in a homemade ganache is a fantastic way to get back into your husband's good graces after you turned all hosebeast on him following a phone conversation with a family member. Displaced Anger+ Guilt Ganache= Marital Bliss)

3. You can't change the way people are, but you can control how you let them affect you. To be honest, this is something I knew in theory before this month- and it is easier said than done. But I feel like an instance in the past few weeks was one of the first times I successfully stepped back from a situation, recognized the craziness of the other person, and chose not to let it affect me.

4. I cannot rush a story that is begging to be told. This month I tried and failed to write a shorter story to get out quickly. I mean I achieved writing it, but it felt wrong, like I was cutting off my best friend right before she told me the good parts in the story. Thankfully I have some good friends who told me I was selling myself short.

5. Cheap olive oil is sort of gross. Mr. McKay and I love Aldi- do you guys know of these food stores? Everything is super cheap and they have the best cheese. For reals! Their "Specially Selected Age Reserved White Cheddar" is fan-freaking-tastic! Pair that with some cracked pepper and olive oil Triscuits and I am a happy girl. Anyway, we were there cheese shopping and buying tortilla chips, just your basic essentials, and we picked up a small bottle of olive oil. Now olive oil can get sort of pricey, but this small bottle was very reasonable. We thought nothing of it because we had bought some there before, I guess the mistake was we had always cooked with it. On this fateful night I made some dressing with it for a pasta salad. It was gross, to say the least. I guess olive oil- especially when used for a dressing- is not something you want to skimp on. Lesson learned.

There you have it 5 (more like 5 and 1/2) sort of boring things I learned this month.
