Saturday Spankings- Girls Who Lie

Welcome back to another edition of Saturday Spankings!

I'm continuing a little further on in my scene from last week. This is from the new soon-to-be-released book Ever Afters: The Winter Storm co-authored by Katherine Deane, Renee Rose, and myself.

We're back to my characters Jake and Coral who are having a little heart to heart down in the dungeon of the Spa "NK" Fantasy Fetish Lodge.

Jake has just asked Coral if she wants to play a game and she is getting all the details before they start:

"I'm going to ask you some questions. Answer them as honestly as you can; you're honesty will be rewarded."
"And if I'm not honest?"
"No rewards for dishonest girls." He gave her a teasing smile as the color rose in her cheeks. He leaned in and whispered, "Girls who lie get punished."
She swallowed and sucked in a deep breath. He was making her uneasy and turning her on at the same time.

About Ever Afters: The Winter Storm-

Dungeon Crawl

Welcome to the Dungeon Crawl, powered by Romancing the Kink!

I feel like I am going to get kicked out of this thing for not being dark and edgy enough, so soak it up now people! I may be asked not to come back.

Take the above picture for instance (these graphics are awesome btw!), I think the thing in the corner is a spanking bench. And in my head I am thinking that a man just spent all day doing manly things and building this spanking bench. (That's why there is an ax, that is an ax, right?) Anyway, now he is all sweaty and saw dusty and ornery from, you know, axing, and he is going to turn his woman over that bench and spank the daylights out of her.

I don't know why. I don't need a motive, it's my fantasy. She did something spankable, obvi!

Anyway, I am not sure that's what the people at RTK wanted when they started their Dungeon Crawl, now I am just taking over and getting all spanky with it.

But spanking is BDSM too!

Okay, how about figging? I have figging!

This is from my book Cursed Waters it's got zombies and figging!

Trevor gave her a quick kiss and piled two pillows on top of each other. Then he guided her across them. She felt completely vulnerable, her ass sticking up higher than the rest of her, served up to him for whatever he may wish to do. The thought scared her and turned her on all at once.
Trevor pressed down on the ginger, causing a slight heat to emit throughout her. “How does it feel?” he questioned, “Does it feel like it's getting hot yet?”
“A little,” she answered honestly, hoping it didn't turn into an unbearable burning. Roxy could barely feel the heat right now.
“I think it takes a while to heat up,” he replied. “Maybe I should make you keep it in when we go out.”
She jerked her head up to look at him and he laughed at her reaction. “I was kidding,” he reassured, then moved to pick up the belt, “but I wasn't kidding about this.”
Trevor brought his arm up and Roxy tensed and winced in anticipation. The crack of the belt echoed off of the walls in her bedroom and the delicious burn the leather left in it's wake awakened all her senses. Trevor brought it down again, lower this time, catching the tops of her thighs and she jumped.
“Try to stay still,” he warned. She wanted to tell him not to hit so low but he swung again, causing the words to die on her lips. Every time he brought his arm up, she tensed, causing the ginger to release a burning inside. Then after the belt left its mark she had a burning outside to match. Roxy lost count as Trevor whipped her burning flesh. She didn't recognize the moans and guttural growls coming from her own mouth. She felt hot tears coursing down her face. But it wasn't from pain, all of her senses were on fire, she was burning with desire and begging him to take her and put her out of her misery.
Roxy felt the bed dip behind her as Trevor brought himself up on his knees. His hands caressed her punished flesh and she mewled against his tender touch. He pressed the ginger deeper into her as he plunged his hardened length into her wanting core. Roxy screamed out and twisted the sheets in her fists. Trevor pounded into her from behind, her hips pressing further into the pillows stacked beneath her.

Sparing His Life- Renee Rose's Held for Ransom

Renee is here today to share an excerpt from her new book! Take it away, Renee:

Casey! Thanks so much for having me and my new book over for a visit.

Held for Ransom is a book that really captured my heart. In it, a half-Saxon knight kidnaps an Avalon
priestess and the twin sister of the king in order to demand the release of his Saxon family members who he believes are prisoners of the king.

He holds Ariana prisoner for a week before her brother rescues her and he must flee for his life. Finding he cannot stay away from the beautiful priestess who captured his heart, he enters the king’s tournament. Ariana recognizes him and the king seizes him.

The soldiers escorted their prisoner to the dais, where he dropped to his knees and lowered his head, offering his neck in surrender.
So, you are the mighty Crow,” Broderick said, laying his sword blade along the prisoner’s nape.
She should not have flinched, but she did. Broderick flicked his glance to her, acknowledging her reaction. Very few secrets were kept between twins, especially in a family long-rumored to have the blood of the fey.
They say you cannot be killed, but I do not think it is true. Shall we find out today?”
Crow said nothing. She held her breath, trembling.
Broderick lifted his eyes to her. “Ariana?”
Sweat dripped down her ribs. “No,” she whispered, shocked but grateful he asked her.
Why not?”
He still has a role to play. He is a piece of the puzzle.”
My puzzle or yours?”
She shook her head. “I cannot see.”
Then it must be yours.” He raised his voice, stepping back from the prisoner. “Take him to the dungeons.”

Blurb:
When Sir Gorran’s people disappear after a raid on a Saxon settlement, he kidnaps Avalon priestess Ariana, sister to the king, and demands their return. Though he knew he risked Ariana’s curse as well as a lifetime hiding from the king’s sword, he does not realize his greatest risk in holding the lovely princess for ransom is to his heart.

The intimacy shared with her kidnapper leaves Ariana wounded by the experience and his reappearance at the annual tournament only deepens her pain. When her brother foists him on her as a guardian and slave she must come to terms with her feelings for the dominant warrior. Will she send him away to his death, or will she realize her pain is only caused by living without him?

Publisher’s Note: This book contains spanking, anal punishment and erotic sex scenes.

Writing Process Blog Hop

My good friend Natasha Knight tagged me in this blog hop! She is awesome and I do everything she tells me to do :)

What am I working on now?

Right now I am working on finishing up a Historical Spanking Romance called Emmaline's Groom. I realized that I started writing it last May. Hey, things happen, I got caught up in other stuff. I am glad I am almost finished and should have it out before the year mark of when I started it!

It's about a daughter of an English Marquess who falls in love with one of the servants at her manor. There is love, sex, spankings, a failed kidnapping plot, a shoot out- it's got a little bit of everything.

How does my work differ from others of its genre?

I don't know how my work really differs. I think every author has their own unique way of telling a story. I like to interweave some humor into my writing, even if it is not a particularly comedic book. There are other authors that also do this and I always appreciate it when I read it. I think humor can be found in everyday life, so it only makes sense to me that my characters would end up in humorous situations.

Why do I write what I do?

I started writing because I was bored. No, really. We had a period of a few months where we didn't have any cable or internet in our house. I got bored of reading and tired of buying books that I thought were 'just okay'. I sat down and wrote a book I would like to read.

I write spanking romance because that is what's featured in my fantasies. Even if I read a book that has no sex or spankings in it I will re-imagine it and think up scenes with spanking that would fit into it. I do this with movies and TV shows as well, nothing is safe!

What is my writing process?

At first I was thinking I don't have a writing process. I can't outline. Well, I can physically write an outline, but I never follow it.

From start to finish, this is what it looks like. I think up a scenario, some fantasy I am working out in my head. Then I figure out characters. Their backgrounds. How they meet, what they want from each other.

Sometimes I bounce ideas off my husband. Sometimes I bounce them off other author friends. But I always think it through completely before I even start writing. Once I finally sit down to write the characters are just dying to get out there and do something. Which is why the outline never works, they have their own agenda!

I have to write beginning to end. I can't write scenes or write the end before the middle. I might have an idea of a later scene, but I have to write everything leading up to it first.

I almost never know how my book is going to end, until I get towards the ending.

As for the actual physical writing. I get most of that done in the mornings before my full time job. On my days off I try to devote a couple of hours to writing. If I am writing at night it means I really needed to get something down on the page, but most times when I read it in the morning I end up changing it.

I used to beat myself up over word counts and productivity and worrying that other's were cranking out books faster than I could type. But I think I have come to a place where if I can just get out what is in my head, let the creative juices flow, and have a good time doing what I am doing- then life is pretty sweet.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my thoroughly awesome writing process!

Saturday Spankings- Implements and Fairy Tales

Hi, welcome back to Saturday Spankings! I am picking up in the next scene of Jake and Coral's story in Ever Afters: The Winter Storm, the soon to be released co-authored book by me, Katherine Deane and Renee Rose!

Coral has just escorted Jake down to the BDSM dungeon in the lodge. He sees an armoire in the corner and asks Coral what's inside.

“What's in there?” Jake asked.
There was hope for him yet.
“Implements!” Coral couldn't keep the excitement from her voice and he chuckled at her response.
“Have you tried all of these out?”
“No, not all of them,” she answered honestly. There were a couple of heavy wooden paddles in there that scared her more than turned her on.

Jake reached up and ran his hand down the length of a leather riding crop. She felt her core clench with desire.

Welcome to New Kristiandom, a world filled with fantasy and paranormal. A world where old fashioned meets contemporary, where fairy tales and real life collide. Where truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.  Where romance and fetish are the norm and everyone gets a “Happily Ever After”.

This is the first story of the characters who shape this world. These are the ‘Ever Afters’.

Round Table Discussion- Spanking Relationships

Welcome to this edition of the Round Table Discussion, brought you by Spanking Romance Reviews. Today's topic was brought to us by Patricia Green:

Being of an Age and Spanking: a discussion about how one changes as a spanking partner over the years of a relationship
From Patricia:
You’re 30 and spanking is a big part of your life. It shapes how you behave in many ways, and strikes a chord when you read about others living the same way. But how will you feel about it when you’re 50, or 60, or 70? You won’t be the same person at those ages, and your relationship will grow and mature as the years pass by.
Where do you see your spanking relationship as you get older? What do you anticipate? What do you dread? How do you feel about others who are older and still have spanking in their lives? Is that too weird a mental picture? Please think about it and share your take on spanking as we grow older.

Where do you see your spanking relationship as you get older? What do you anticipate? What do you dread?

I feel like my spanking relationship just started. We are in our early thirties, we've been married less than five years, it is all still very new to us. We don't practice Domestic Discipline, we are just into some good kinky fun. So where do I see us as we get older? I am hoping the novelty doesn't wear off.

Right now I will hint about wanting a spanking. I will flat out ask if he is not getting the hint. I think my husband is still amused by me. But he always mentions that the spanking is my thing, he gets nothing out of it. I do wonder sometimes if he will just stop wanting to participate in it. I have no reason to think this, just my own overactive mind.

Then there is the prospect of children. We are planning on having some at some point. That will definitely change the way we live our lives, never mind just the spanking and kinky part. We go through different phases of life and have to change the way we do things to adjust. That is just a normal part of living. But I am hopeful that we will still make time for each other and still want to do all the things that makes us so connected now.

I don't just mean the spanking and the sex toys and all the other things we do. I mean the communicating, the trust, meeting each other's needs. It started out as some foreplay and some kink and it evolved into the way we live our lives. I know we have grown closer, we listen to each other better, we respect each other more. I can feel it and I can see it. I guess in a way I am afraid we might lose that.

How do you feel about others who are older and still have spanking in their lives? Is that too weird a mental picture? Please think about it and share your take on spanking as we grow older.

I am a romantic and I love seeing people in love. So I notice couples and the way they interact- young, old, it doesn't matter. Do I ever look at an older couple and wonder if they spank or have some kinky life behind closed doors? Yes, all the time. And it makes me smile. I don't really get a mental picture, that seems like an invasion of privacy if they are standing right in front of me.

I think it actually makes more sense for an older couple to have a spanking relationship. I think if you have had more experience in life and love it would make a relationship like that run smoother.

At least that is what I think. But really, what do I know?

In the future I picture myself still living happily with my husband. Just living and loving and doing what feels right. I'm not naïve enough to think nothing will change, but I think I am optimistic enough to think it will always change for the better.

Love and Nipple Clamps

I mentioned before that I love Valentine's Day, well really, I just love having a day dedicated to loving. How could you not like it?

Mr. McKay and I are sort of a no frills couple. We don't stress over getting each other gifts (well, we couldn't afford to for a while) and I really wasn't expecting anything at all for V-Day.

But he surprised me! He had told me he ordered me two gifts. Once I finally got out of him that they were of the 'sexy variety' I didn't feel so bad that I hadn't gotten him anything. I mean really, when he buys sex toys they are for us both, because we are both using them. That's how I look at it anyway.

One arrived in the mail on Friday and he unceremoniously tosses me a little package in a clear bag. It's heavy and at first glance it looks like chains. I dump the contents of the bag. Nipple clamps! I had requested different ones. Right now we have these tweezer-like ones (which are supposed to be good for beginners, or so says my resident researcher over here), and they are all well and good until I move the slightest bit or something brushes against the chain. Then they just pop off, leaving me screaming out and not in a good way.

But now I am staring down at these very heavy, serious looking nipple clamps and my hands get a little clammy.

What am I thinking? I feel like I ask this question on a regular basis.

I test one on a finger and it's a little intense. Like, ow, it kind of hurts clamped on my index finger! I glance over at my husband with an unsure look.

He assures me we don't have to use them. He wouldn't want anything clamped on his nipples after all, he doesn't understand why I would.

But he doesn't get it! Nipples are an erogenous zone. I love having mine touched and played with. Pulled and sucked. Tweaked and pinched. Nothing can get me hotter than driving along in the passenger seat and having him reach over and slip his hand into my top. Caress my breast. Pinch my nipple. Sigh, I am ready to come just thinking about it. (also the fact that we are in the car- windows! Daylight!)

I digress. Back to the nipple clamps. So these seem kind of intense and I am surprised because normally Mr. McKay researches the shit out of everything before making a purchase. He reads reviews, cross references sites, makes sure he is buying a quality product.

Later on that night, he suggests we try them.

Um, okay, sure. He did go through the trouble of buying them after all. I shouldn't just toss them aside and never use them. But I remember the way they felt on my finger.... I'm a little scared.

They are this clamp, with a screw. And I have the screws twisted all the way out. Because in my head I am thinking 'screws tighten' so to have the screw tighter, the clamps would be tighter, yes? And I don't want them tight to start with.

So, screw all the way unscrewed. I place the clamp around my nipple. Shriek, rip it off, throw it on the floor, and start writhing in pain.

I laugh until I cry. Assuring my very concerned husband that I am fine. But maybe I like the idea of nipple clamps better than the actual clamps? This disappoints me.

The next morning I am still talking about how ridiculous these clamps are. I mean who can use them anyway?

I look them up online to read the reviews. We must be doing something wrong! Mr. McKay says these things should come with instructions.

Then I find this picture on the website:

And I realize the screws are to keep the clamps open, not to tighten them. Duh. Morons using sex toys over here, everyone back up.

And this is how I ended up sitting in my pajamas in my living room on a Saturday morning holding my t-shirt up with my chin and putting nipple clamps on myself.

Sexy, right?

Fairy Tale Spanks

I've been a Sat Spanks no show for a while. I just don't write as quickly as my peers! I've had nothing to share.

Until now :)

I co-authored a book with some fine ladies and some good friends: Katherine Deane and Renee Rose.

It's called Ever Afters: The Winter Storm

We are all really excited about it and now you get to have a little sneak preview snippet.

We all took our own take on a fairy tale/ fairy tale characters. This is a little bit of what it's about, we don't have a blurb yet:

Welcome to New Kristiandom, a world filled with fantasy and paranormal. A world where old fashioned meets contemporary, where fairy tales and real life collide. Where truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.  Where romance and fetish are the norm and everyone gets a “Happily Ever After”.

This is the first story of the characters who shape this world. These are the ‘Ever Afters’.

In this snippet, my main character Coral has just been scolded by her boss, Mr. Wolfe, for being out in a blizzard. He also introduces her to Jake Hill, a guest who is waiting out the blizzard at the lodge.

Both men stood assessing her now, but she still couldn't get her voice to obey. She gave another affirmative nod. Jake let out a deep chuckle and Mr. Wolfe narrowed his eyes at her before he turned on his heel and walked away muttering something about stubborn women and people falling down hills. Jake winked at her, then turned and followed Mr. Wolfe down the long corridor.
Coral heaved a sigh of relief. She had been prepared for another lecture, and although Mr. Wolfe ran his lodge with a heavy hand he had never threatened to spank her before. The thought of it made her belly flip. And who was this beautiful stranger who had taken up temporary residence?

Thanks for stopping by. Make sure you check out all the other Sat Spankers this week too!

A Valentine's Day Post!

first and foremost- I am hosting Spanking Stories Book Club over at Celeste Jones' blog. I am talking about Natasha Knight's Aching to Submit. So pop on over and join the fun!

It is Valentine's Day! I've always loved this day. I know it gets a lot of flack. Especially from people who may be single, or people who put a lot of importance on the silly things, and it gets called a Hallmark holiday, blah blah blah.

I'm sorry, you should check who's blog you're on- hopeless romantic over here :)

Most of the Valentine's Day I have had I was single and I loved them all the same. I was the dork in school who sent all her best girlfriend's lollipops with messages that the band was selling. Or planned a girl's night where we watched romantic comedies and painted our nails. Or stayed up late to watch Fatal Attraction with my mom (don't ask, it was on TV and it scared the shit out of me).

Anyway, the point is- I just enjoy a day that is all about love. Be it love between friends or lovers or family. It's nice to just tell people you love them and spend some time with them. And that is why I love today!

This year is the first year Mr. McKay and I actually have some pocket money we could use to buy each other gifts. I thought about getting him something special. I wanted to show him how much I appreciate him- and really, who doesn't love getting gifts??

I lost some weight and my wedding and engagement rings no longer fit me. I could have had them resized, that would have been some sort of loving gesture, right? Or I could have bought something just for him, something he really wanted. Or something sexy, that I could wear for him maybe?

Well, about a week ago I had to buy new pads for Roller Derby. New pads and a mouth guard got pretty pricey. Suddenly, all the extra pocket money we had was gone. I informed him of this before I hit the complete button on my online order. He just shrugged it off and told me to order them.

"But, I should get you something for Valentine's Day instead," I said.

"Why?"

"I don't know. These are expensive and we should just spend the money on us instead."

"Order them. I'd like you to stay unbroken." Then he leaned over and kissed me, "Happy Valentine's Day, Roller Girl."

To say I swooned would be putting it mildly, but it's stuff like that that gets me, you know?

We are spending the night in. Inexpensive, but fun. And who knows, maybe I'll let him bang me with my skates on :)

Happy Valentine's Day to all my Readers- I love you all :)

Now go over to Spanking Stories Book Club!

Get Your Nerd On

Big news! I am hosting The Spanking Stories Book Club over at Celeste Jones' this Friday.

I love book club. I love getting my nerd on over there, and now I get to host. Woohoo! I am drunk with power!

Anyway, we are talking about Natasha Knight's Aching to Submit so if you have not read it yet- buy it now!

I read it this past fall when it came out and this is what I had to say about it:

Sophie is married to Michael, and he adores her. She loves him and she knows how much he loves her, but she is left wanting more. She fantasizes about submitting herself to a dominant man. She even goes so far as to visit a BDSM club, alone, to see if she can rid herself of her desire. Sophie is on a journey, one she thinks she has to go alone. Michael is hurt that she never shared her secret. Now that Sophie has lied and hidden things from her husband, is it too late for them to continue on this journey together?

Natasha Knight does a superb job in delving into the story of a woman who is letting herself explore her need of submission. I've read a lot of spanking fiction, and a lot of the time the spanking in the relationship is established before the story starts, or one of the characters is into the lifestyle and it is quickly established from the beginning "this is what happens". Aching to Submit starts from the very beginning- the emotional first conversations between a couple starting to explore a possible relationship in a D/s lifestyle. It struck all kinds of chords for me, it made me emotional, it made me root for Michael and Sophie to find their way, it also made me pretty hot. But that was expected!

I think this book is relatable for any person who has ever felt like they had to keep a part of them hidden away. Opening yourself up and making yourself vulnerable to the person you cherish most in your life is a scary thing- Natasha did a great job demonstrating that.

And now, a treat, an excerpt! I think this part clearly demonstrates all of the conflicting emotions Sophie is having. Sophie has come to the BDSM club, L'Opera, and is just about to be confronted by the club's owner, Kyan, who has taken her under his wing:

“Why did you lie about not having a BSN the first night?”

Her expression went from polite to caught red-handed and she fumbled with her coffee for a moment before regaining hold of herself.

“Let’s just be very straight with each other. I’m not asking to make you uncomfortable and I understand your fear. I just want to be clear going forward—I want you to understand that I’m not a stupid man and I won’t accept lies. I think I can help you figure this out, perhaps even help you find what you’re looking for, but let’s just lay our cards out, shall we?”

Sophie stood. “I’m sorry, maybe I should go. I shouldn’t have come.”

“Sit down,” he said, without moving an inch. “Now, Sophie. Sit down.”

Her stomach felt heavy and her knees were already weak as she slid back down onto her seat.

“Are you in a relationship? Truth—you get one chance to answer honestly.”

“Yes,” she said.

“Your partner is vanilla?”

She nodded.

“Are you sure?”

That confused her. “Yes. I mean, he’s never… done anything or…”

“Have you told him what you wanted?” Kyan asked.

“No,” she answered.

“Why not?”

“Because I don’t want him to look at me like there’s something wrong with me. Like I’m a pervert,” she said outright. “I couldn’t take it if he was… disgusted by me.”

“If you don’t trust him to accept you as you are, why are you in a relationship with him?”

“It’s complicated, Kyan. It’s just… complicated.” She looked away for a moment, then turned back to him. “I’ve wanted this for as long as I can remember and the one time I thought I could tell a boyfriend just a little bit about it, well, let’s just say it didn’t go well and I can still remember how embarrassed I was, how ashamed. I can’t do that again, I can’t go through that again.

“I’m sorry I lied about my BSN and that I may have implied that I was available, or at least if I led you to believe I was. It wasn’t my intention. I just… this is something I can’t get out of my head. I thought if I tried it just once, maybe it wouldn’t be what I fantasized about at all. Maybe it would just go away.”

“So let me make sure I’m understanding this. You’d like to experience this without your partner finding out in the hopes that you will discover it wasn’t what you wanted after all?”

“Yes?” she more asked than answered. They both knew it wasn’t that simple.

Kyan studied her for what seemed like hours, even though it couldn’t have been more than a few minutes. He then opened the bottom drawer of his desk and retrieved a leather paddle, setting it on top of the desk between them. She couldn’t peel her eyes from it, the long narrow instrument filling her with fear of the actual pain a spanking entailed even while every conscious part of her wanted nothing other than that very thing.

But she wanted it with Michael.

She met his eyes.

“I don’t know if I agree with how you’re going about this, Sophie. There’s an intimacy that comes with this that maybe you don’t understand. Perhaps your desire for it is too strong and doesn’t allow you to see that logic.”

Her eyes darted once more to the paddle. “Maybe it will hurt so badly I’ll never want it again,” she said nervously. What was she implying? Was she really going there with him? She knew he was right about the intimacy and if she did this, she’d cross a line, perhaps one she could not recover from.

“Would you like me to give you a taste of what you think you want?”

 Yum! It gives me goosebumps.
